Your square

Every square is the same size. There are two plans.

Square costs £1 as a one-off payment and lasts 12 months from payment. We'll remind you before it ends.

Square Plus adds photos, stories, daily updates, city wall posts, enquiries, offers and stats. It costs £1 a month by Direct Debit, with a minimum term of 12 months, then continues month to month until you cancel. Or pay £10 once for 12 months. Your price stays the same for as long as your plan stays active.

You can upgrade from Square to Square Plus at any time from your dashboard.

If a renewal or monthly payment is missed, your square stays up for 14 days. After that it goes back on sale.

Approval and removal

Squares go live once we've checked them against our advertising rules. If we reject a square before it goes live, we'll offer you the chance to change it or refund you.

Updates and comments

Businesses with a live square can post short updates on their card, post on their city's business wall, and comment on other businesses' posts. Photos on the city wall show once we've checked them. You're responsible for what you post. Our rules apply to updates and comments as well as squares.

Anyone can report an update or comment using the flag next to it. We check reports quickly and take down anything illegal or against our rules. We can also suspend posting and commenting for a business that breaks the rules. A business can hide comments on its own updates.

Links aren't allowed in updates or comments. Updates stay on the card for 24 hours, then on the business's page for 30 days. Posts on the city wall stay up until the business deletes them or we remove them.

Cancelling

After the minimum term you can cancel a monthly plan at any time. Your square stays up until the end of the month you've paid for.
